On December 7, 2007, the Chapel received a prayer request for Doris W., who had suffered a brain-hemmorage and a stroke. Doris went into a coma, and as a result, had to be put on life support to keep her breathing.
Immediately, we put Doris on the Chapel's "Prayer Needed" list, and prayer was requested for her by numerous other people. From time to time, visiting Christian friends would sit and read scriptures and sing hyms to her. Doris remained in the coma for several weeks, and was required to stay on life-support.
On Tuesday, Jan. 8, a brain-scan showed no brain wave activity for Doris, so the decision was made to pull the plug on life support at 8 o:clock Wednesday morning. Funeral preparations were initiated, since the doctors weren't sure if she would live for a while or die within the hour.
Doris's husband left his sister, Dianne, with an unconcious Doris when he went out for lunch that morning. while visitors in the room sang songs of praise and read scriptures. Suddenly, and amazingly, at 12:50 in the afternoon, Doris, the lady who was given up for dead, began trying to talk to her sister-in-law.
When man pulled the life plug. God renewed the life! Doris went into full recovery! That Friday morning she was moved to rehab, and is now back home recovering from the stroke. God still does miracles!
