Mark, 16:18... "...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Misreading, misinterpretation, and ignorance proclaim that God does not perform his wonders in our modern world, but absolute and undeniable foregone FACT refutes these proclamations with no room for argument. This is a testimony attesting to one of these FACTS. It concerns my own Grandson, Joshua. On the fourteenth of June, 2007, Josh was in a terrible accident. He crashed his car sideways into a telephone pole. These photos, taken later, show the disastrous results:

When the rescue squad arrived on the scene, they could not believe that this boy was still alive, and, recognizing head trauma, they immediately called a helicopter, and had Josh lifelined to the nearest hospital, in Jackson, Tennessee. My son, Josh's Father, was a former member of the rescue team, so nothing was held back when he was apprised of the situation. He was told to prepare for the worst.     When the phone rang that evening, I was working with my computer.. The caller was near hysteria, but I was able to gather that emergency prayer was needed. Immediately, my wife, myself and one of my other grandsons, Matt, began to pray. While praying, I put Josh on the Chapel prayer list. At the same time, other family, Christian friends, and churches were being called. As soon as we found out where Josh was being taken, we headed out on the 65-mile trip to the hospital.     In the waiting room, we were told that Josh had bleeding from around the brain, and since there were no brain specialists on their staff, he would be flown to Memphis for surgery. The move was considered critical. We told our son to keep us updated on the situation while we went home to prepare for the 150 mile trip to Memphis. On the way to Memphis the next day, my wife and I experienced a feeling of inner peace...a feeling of relief. Upon our arrival at the hospital, we were given the following information...     When Josh got to the emergency facility in Memphis, the brain specialist had her team together and ready. They immediately did a CT scan so that they would know exactly where and how to proceed. But an unusual thing occurred...the scan showed that the bleeding had stopped! It was decided that Joshua would be kept in intensive care and monitored. After 2 days, he was transferred to a private room, but still closely monitored.     The brain specialist called Josh's parents aside privately, and told them that, even though surgery had not been required, Joshie would probably not be the same after such a brain trauma. She continued that, in more than 90% of such cases involving people Josh's age, if the patients did not die, they suffered permanent impairment from their injuries. She wanted to prepare them for this probability.     Josh, on the other hand, was lying in bed with his pain-filled head bandaged up, and was occasionally getting sick to the stomach, but was mostly getting bored, so he had his friends go out and get him a rubick's cube... his favorite relaxer. As it happened, the brain specialist was in the room when Josh got his rubick's cube. She watched as Josh solved the cube in 3 minutes flat. Then, with a look of astonishment, she said, "I'm impressed"! In a couple of days, Josh was allowed to go home, with orders of "strict supervision" to his parents.     As you might guess, it's very hard to keep a 16-year-old under "strict supervision". Once, his mother had to order him off of a pogo-stick! Then, in spite of dire warnings, he went, by car, on a sight-seeing tour of Washington, D.C. When he returned, he went back to the doctor for his follow-up CT scan. There was NO EVIDENCE THAT ANY BLEEDING HAD EVER OCCURRED! Joshie has no abnormalities or shortcomings from his once-damaged brain! (By the way, he did have a small cut on his toe.) Anyone who doesn't believe God is alive and working today, is simply missing out on the abundant blessings that are pouring out of Heaven.     Recovered!
