Santa Explained... |

Once again, it's that special time that Christians have chosen to remember and celebrate the giving of the greatest gift the people of earth ever received...the gift of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. And once again the forces of anti-christ are trying very hard to remove the one and only reason for Christmas from Christmas. The worst of these here in this country, of course, is the ACLU. Partly because of its efforts, and partly due to simple unbelief, store after store and chain after chain are doing their best to avoid every mention of Christ from this commemoration of His birth.
The most noted, and most misunderstood attempt to do this is the use of the name, "Santa Clause". There are more and more Santa stories and fewer and fewer christian stories as the years go by. But there is something about this "Santa Clause" that unbelievers don't seem to grasp. You see, there is a reality connected to Santa Clause that is directly related to Jesus.
There is no one, believer or not, who can deny that there is a need to give gifts and show love at Christmas time, a need, a necessity even, that is rooted within people's hearts. This, my friends, is the Spirit of loving and giving which was imparted to us by God's giving of his Son. Jesus. It pervades the atmosphere and the people everywhere that Christmas is seen or heard about. It is undeniable and inseparable from Christmas. Because they can't deny it, and to avoid admitting what it is, and where it comes from, People have named it for themselves. They call it "Santa Clause", and they depict it as a fat little bearded man in a red suit who, in order to give his gifts must climb down chimneys and ride around in a magical sleigh.
Well, unbelievers are in for a rude awakening. You see, the re-naming and the illustrations of the bearded little, red-suited fellow have not changed the reality of that spirit one iota. He is more real than anything that could ever be dreamed up by man to replace Him. He is the essence of the Holy Ghost - the Spirit of helps, love, brotherhood and mercy that comes to us from God through the very reason for Christmas - Jesus Christ.
So you see, the spirit behind "Santa Clause" is very real. And he is able to visit all around the earth in one night, and He doesn't even need a sleigh or reindeer or chimneys. God bless us all. . . in the name of Jesus Christ, who really brings us Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS ! |

In Jesus' Name,
