God's Perfect Will

Did you know that the shortest chapter in the Bible is Psalms 117?
Did you also know that the longest chapter in the Bible is Psalms 119?

What's really interesting is that the chapter in the very center of the Bible turns out to be Psalms 118.

What we're leading up to here is the fact that everything God does is done to perfection and reflects his perfect will. The facts surrounding this part of his Holy Word demonstrate this perfectly. Consider the following:

Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118. Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118. Add these numbers up and we get 1188. That's 1, 1, 8, and 8.
Now, look at the next bit of information:

The center verse in the Bible is...you guessed it... Psalms 118 and verse 8.

What is all this leading up to? Well, let's see if there is some special significance in Psalms 118:8. Just try this: The next time someone says they would like to find God's perfect will for their lives, and that they want to be in the center of his will, send them to the center of his Word! Psalms 118:8.

"IT IS BETTER TO TRUST IN THE LORD THAN TO PUT CONFIDENCE IN MAN."

God's perfect will is that we trust in Him...completely. Now isn't it amazing how this worked out! Or is it just an excellent example of how the Lord God does everything to perfection and purpose? I guess we already know the answer to that, don't we.

Pastor's Note: We have just had a very meaningful election in the United States. It is important for all Christians to remember this: Before you vote for anything or anyone, READ THE BOOK OF SECOND JOHN !

In Jesus' Name,
AMEN
