This, however, is not what the majority of the churches are teaching at this time. Most of them are teaching that Jesus will return secretly about seven years before the last day. They call this secret coming "THE RAPTURE". We have just seen in the scriptures that there is nothing secret at all about the second coming of Christ. As a matter of fact, there is not one scripture in the Bible that teaches about a pre-tribulation Rapture.

Look at the following scriptures located in the book of II Thessalonians, Chapter 2...
1. Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2. That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4. Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

We have just read that we should not let anyone deceive us by any means, that the Day of Christ (the day Christ returns) is at hand.

The scripture says there will be a great falling away first, and the son of perdition will be revealed. This, in itself, may not mean much to you, but let's read on and see what happens next.
